Anna Jansdotter writes romantic and norm-breaking fantasy for young adults. Her love for the characters and worlds she has created permeates everything she does, and she expertly builds up something truly extraordinary within the genre. Subjects such as mental illness and alienation are very close to her heart and she weaves them into her writing as a way to help break stigmas. The first seed to what later would become the Stargazer trilogy was sown on a rainy morning in 2005. Anna knew right from the start that this was going to be a romantic and at times erotic fantasy trilogy with a happy ending. The first book, The Starkeeper’s Wish, has now been completed and Anna is currently writing the second book of the trilogy.
Anna grew up in Mälardalen, Sweden, and currently lives in Skåne County with her partner and their two cats. She attended a creative writing course at Albin’s Adult Education Centre in 2016 and in addition to writing, Anna also works in a bookshop. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting and reading.
